Freestanding gas fireplace
A square-format freestanding fire with clean edges, a large viewing window and a flame that behaves like a real one.
The DFS740 is the compact member of Escea’s DFS series. It suits smaller living rooms, open-plan corners, and homes replacing an old freestanding wood heater, because the flue can run straight up through the existing penetration or out sideways through a wall.
It is room-sealed, so it draws combustion air from outside and sends every bit of exhaust back out. Nothing from the fire enters the room except warmth. The 4mm steel console stays cool enough to touch and the glass does not fog.

The firebox is angled and the burner sits under a bed of ceramic beads, so flames rise up and through the logs rather than in a flat row along the front. It looks like a wood fire without the ash, the smoke or the cutting.
Room-sealed and direct-vented: air for the fire comes in from outside and the exhaust goes straight back out. No draughts, no smell, no fogged glass. The steel body stays cool enough that a chair, a child or a dog can sit beside it.
Every DFS740 ships with a remote and Escea’s SmartHeat wifi app. Set a target temperature and the fire holds it. Put it on a timer so the room is warm when you get home.
Freestanding and zero-clearance rated, so it can sit on timber floors, on a plinth, in a corner, or in the spot where an old wood heater used to be. The flue runs up, sideways or down and along.

Flue kits, clearances and wall penetrations depend on your home. We measure everything on the site visit and include it in the quote.
